    Default no email logo

When sending an email I only get the default logo text and not the logo itself displaying at the top of the email. I have the following settings:

    E-mail Transport method: PHP
Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails: True

I'm not sure what the problem is with this > does anyone have any suggestions?

    _thanks

You need to upload your own image, called header.jpg to the email folder on your server, where your installation of zencart sits.

Ideally, the logo should be 550px wide and 90px deep.

To see it visible in your e-mail client, you will need to REFRESH the messages. Either close your e-mail program and re-open, or press F5.

    ..thanks..

no really - the default text is showing rather than the logo. Even before I changed the header.jpg file the zen logo didn't show up.

To see it visible in your e-mail client, you will need to REFRESH the messages. Either close your e-mail program and re-open, or press F5.
I did and nothing changed so it must be something else . . any clues??

Did you select BINARY mode when ftp'd the image to the server?

There is absolutely no reason why your email header should not display if:

    1. It is a proper web-suitable jpg (lower case extention - jpg , not JPG - linux servers can fussy on case if the php refers to lower case jpg).
    2. It was ported to the server in binary ftp mode
    3. It is placed into the e-mail directory where you have installed your zencart program.

I put the email settings to HTML for preferred. But still the logo doesn't show - instead it is the alternative text. Do you think that there is something wrong with the directory as it is doing this? What are your thoughts?

Several other reasons why the email will show up as plain text.

OK, so you have set the default delivery mime type to HTML.

BUT, if a customer registers, and (on the registration page) selects PLAIN TEXT as the preferred e-mail option, then that will over-ride any setting you have made in admin.

Secondly, if the recipient sets their e-mail client to view messages as plain text, then there's nothing you can do about it. That's why ZC will always make the two options available.

If you have set up a TEST customer, login to your shop as that test customer and go to the "My Account" page. There you will be able to re-select the e-mail format. Change it th HTML.

Then, send a NEW email to your test customer (the old ones will remain TXT).

This time, you should see it in html.
