Personalised Greeting based on Customer's Registered Country

I have searched the forum but can't find anything like this! :)

I would like to be able to personalise my site's greeting based on the country my customers are from:

So, for example, if 'Klauss Schnitzel' logs in from 'Germany' he will have a 'Welcome Klauss, would you like to see our latest products?" in his native language (German).

I am not talking about a whole language pack for my site, just a nice simple country based welcome on the home page.

Is this a possible mod or better still does this mod exist?

Interesting idea Rob, but at the moment there are no facilities to do the Greeting in a different language from everything else and the language seen isn't based on the login country either. That is not to say it couldn't be done, but it could get very complicated to custom code it.

As they say in Star Trek circles..... "Make it so..." LOL.

I am trying to make my site truely international to be more friendly to all who shop there from around the world.
