Creating custom template

Hi all,

I have created a duplicate of the original template and renamed it test, I have then activated test in the tools menu of the admin back end, my problem is now when I view the page I am missing the left and right columns tha contain modules like catgories etc, the only thing visible is the main column? By creating a template folder called test do I have to rename paths for modules or anything so that these modules appear just like the original template?

ADMIN >>> TOOLS >>> LAYOUT BOXES CONTROLLER...

At the bottom of the layout boxes screen is a reset button. Click it.

Each time you change a template, you need to reset the sideboxes
