favicon in IE

I've changed the favicon.ico file to my own but it doesn't seem to show up in Internet Explorer .. any idea when they are going to ban IE ?? .. or how to get it to display??

I noticed that doesn't include IE7. In that, you'd need to find "website visited" and delete that.

They just came out with 8 and it should be known as 8 Up

it is IE version 7 but still doesn't come up after doing this - I know that the image took a little while to appear when I first changed it (still displaying the old one). IE 7 refuses to display any favicon leaving me quite bewildered...
