    Default Cross browser issues

New zencart ... just trying to tweak a few things before adding the rest of the products.

So far, I have just one product in Desktops

In FireFox, the centercolumn (product area) is too far to the left.
In IE 7, it is too far to the right.

I can't seem to find the happy medium between the width of the left column, the width of the center column, and the margins.

Ideally, I would like to see, from left to right:

    5px margin > 165 px width left column > 10px margin > about 600px wide center column > 10px margin

    The site is 800px wide.

Also - I have been trying to fix the product display template file so that the layout is:

product thumbnail with the product name, model number, and price to it's right (preferably centered in the remaining space)

    then product description

then attributes (still have yet to add - there will be anywhere from 10-20 attributes per product)

then all on one row: tell a friend, review, and add to cart.
I want the add to cart to be on one row also (not like the default).

Off to play some more ... but if someone can help out with the margins and such, I would be a happy camper.

    Thanks in advance.

If you search the Free Software Add Ons (above) for product info, you'll see a bunch of different product info page display mods by Clyde Jones that might help with the second part of your post.

    Thanks, Steve.

I'm using one of his modifications on another cart I installed.
Great for stacking all of a product's images in a left-hand column.

I was finally able to tweak the product info display template to roughly how I want it to look.

Now it's just the left/right margins that are still messed up between Firefox and IE. It's not right in either browser.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on how to lay this out so I don't have a 20 foot long page? Between the 30 or so Key Specifications list ... plus the 10-20 options each product will have ... that will make for one long page. The options are long in line (not short like Red, Blue, etc), so I can't just simply put them to the right of the specifications.
