Help, need to implement a css menu

I'm pretty new to Zencart and i have basic PHP and CSS knowledge.

Is there a way to implement my own version of a CSS + JS horizontal menu with submenu in the header?

I have a seperate css and js file but i have no clue where to insert them.

I've been looking but i cant seem to find an answer anywhere.

Look in the Free Software Add Ons link above. Search CSS menu. There are some goods free mods there.

i've styled the CSS the way i wanted but i don't know how to embed it into zen cart

Find a free mod that performs the functions in a similar way to what you want, then download that mod and examine the code.

If it's just CSS. it would go in includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css.

Zencart loads all stylesheets with a .css extension that are in the current template's css folder, so you'll need to make sure your CSS doesn't conflict with the stylesheet(s) that are there already.

Javascript goes into a separate folder, but I can't remember what it is right now.

thanks for all your help i managed to implement a simple css menu so i'll see if i can get the javascript in too
