Loading Time Issues

I am having some loading time issues.

Parse time keeps on going from around 1-8 (Most of the time I get around 4)
Number of queries are 254-257
Query time is around .28 to 0.516583649277

Is this my host that is causing this?
Do I have to optimize the site some how so it loads faster?

There are 12 pictures on there and they are all optimized.
The pictures are all under 26k so far.

The loading time is really bugging me and is annoying.

So what do you suggest? Switch hosts?

Suggest you ask them to make some improvement to your parse time.... If they won't or say they cannot, then you likely will need a new host.

Your shop took over 45 seconds to load for me.

Parse time was 8.5!!

Do you have gZip enabled?? If not then switch it on.

I'd say this is definitely a hosting issue. Have you considered a Zen Cart Certified host from the links above? They're the best in the business with typical parse times of 0.1 seconds.

I talked to the hosting company and they said they cant do anything about it. I have been seriously considering the certified hosts.

I use to have GZip on but now I don't. I will turn it back on.

Which one do you think is the best host out of all of those?

Ugh...It just got slower ...now I really have to switch hosts.
