.htaccess help

Hey Guys,

How do I combine two .htaccess files. I have tried just copying and pasting one files contents to anothers but that did not work.

I am trying to combine the .htaccess file for simple seo links with a 301 redirect .htaccess file.

Any Suggestions???

did you download the htaccess to your computer?

if not download and edit it there and then upload the edited file overwriting the original
