    Default Another Attribute Support Question

    Hi All

    I've looked in the FAQ's and at a number of threads, but I'm still having problems with implementing attributes on a product and would apprecaited it if someone could possibly help me?

    I'm trying to replicate the following:

    https://shop.avg.com/uk.product-avg-...?type=business

    As an AVG Reseller we don't really want to add loads of the same product to the website, but to offer options.

    Therefore, If someone wants two computers protected for two years, the cost is £59.99.

    I've tried creating attributes called:

    No of Computers:
    Subscription:

    Added values to this, but cannot get it too work properly.

    Apologises if the answer to this is within the FAQ's, but I did search and couldn't find anything.

    Thanks in advance

    Sheps

    Where is your site?
    Can't guess when all you state is "Added values to this, but cannot get it too work properly."
    Explain where and how you added the values

    Hi Kobra

    Thanks for your quick reply and apologises, my first message didn't make any sense.

    The link to what I have setup so far is: http://www.qubixtechnology.co.uk/zen...roducts_id=180

    I have setup the following Product Options:-

    No. Computers (dropdown)
    Subcriptions (radio)

    Options Values

    No Computers ---> 1 Computer
    No Computers ---> 2 Computers
    Subscription ---> 1 Year Subscription
    Subscription ---> 2 Year Subscription

    In the Attributes Controller, I have addded the following to the items:-

    No Computers -> 1 Computer -> 26.08
    No Computers -> 2 Computer -> 34.77
    Subscription -> 1 Year Subscription -> 0.00
    Subscription -> 2 Year Subscription -> 17.40

    The problem is, if they select more computers, the cost of the 2nd year subscription goes increases. Below is an example of the retail prices (ex TAX) from AVG

    ProductRetail Price (2 years)Retail Price (1 year)AVG Anti-Virus 1 computer34.77 GBP26.08 GBPAVG Anti-Virus 2 computers52.17 GBP34.77 GBPAVG Anti-Virus 3 computers59.99 GBP42.60 GBPAVG Anti-Virus 5 computers85.21 GBP59.99 GBPAVG Anti-Virus 10 computers145.21 GBP102.60 GBP

    Hope this helps explain things?

    Sorry the format of the pricing didn't come out properly and i was unable to re-edit it.

    Therefore the pricing options are:

    Product Retail##############################(2 years)##########_(1 year)
    AVG Anti-Virus 1 computer ____34.77 GBP____26.08 GBP
    AVG Anti-Virus 2 computers ___52.17 GBP____34.77 GBP
    AVG Anti-Virus 3 computers ___59.99 GBP____42.60 GBP
    AVG Anti-Virus 5 computers ___85.21 GBP____59.99 GBP
    AVG Anti-Virus 10 computers _145.21 GBP___ 102.60 GBP

    Looking at your site and your issue I believe that you are attempting to have your second attribute "years" Dependant upon what is selected in the first "# of Computers"
    Unfortunately, dependant attributes is not a supported function

    Thanks for the update, I think I'll have to add the options, whereby it says:

    1 Computer (1 Year Subscription)
    1 Computer (2 Years Subscription)
    2 Computers (1 Year Subscription)
    2 Computers (2 Year Subscription)

    Thanks for your help though.

    Could also remove price from product and "price by attributes" and have one drop with something along this line

    1 Computer 1 Year
    1 Computer 2 Years
    1 Computer 3 Years
    2 Computers 1 Year
    2 Computers 2 Years
    2 Computers 3 Years
    5 Computers 1 Year
    5 Computers 2 Years
    5 Computers 3 Years
    etc
