Ok i need some advice

I had to recently change my primary domain name to what i use now, i asked them if i needed to move anything or change anything and they said no.

It turns out i had to move the entire contents of my domain into the public html folder however now zencart is reading from both areas and its annoying me, is there anywhere i can change where it reads from including template changes, images uploaded for products etc or should i just do a new install all over again?

If i have to do that install are there files i can keep to put in to keep my customers? Or is that not possible?

Zen Cart is only "reading" from one database. Apparently, you have a copy in the root which is pointing to the original install in the folder. Follow the directions in this tutorial to make the root version the main one.

If you wish to keep the version in the folder as a test site, create another database for it.
