Hello
I have, what I feel, is a rather simple shipping startegy request from my client for his zen cart shop! It is;
1- Any products from Sub Categories a,b,c £19 delivery or local pick up
2 - Any products from Sub Categories x,y,z £6.95 for delivery in 3-5 working days, £12 delivery next working day or local pickup.
I'm assuming I can use the flat rate clone to create my three differnet classes, and then rename each to classify. My real concern is how do I ensure that the end user has only the option of £19 delivery for Sub Categories a,b,c. And then the remaining two options specifically for Sub Categories x,y,z. And then local pickup for both?
Should a customer order a mix of products from all categories then the £19 delivery or local pickup should be the only options available.
I have seen something to do with an impressive query run against the shopping cart at checkout stage to decipher what is in the cart and then act accordingly. i am new to this field and would appreciate any kind of definitive advise or approaches to this issue?
Many thanks in advance.
Darren
