Help with Header Problems

I am a newbie so please bear with me here. My header navigation isn't working on some pages and I need to know how to fix that. Basically, it works from main pages and pages that came with template, but any links that I've added, the header links don't work - when you go to click on the links, they just aren't clickable.

Also, I'd like to have navigation links right below my header, as there is a huge white space and I'd like shoppers to be able to use links under the header as well as on the header and in sidebar - I've tried everything I can think of, but I cannot get the links to show up under the header. I'm sure it's an easy fix, I just can't find it or figure it out.
