Only thing that makes sense to me is that your server is restoring the db every day from a backup ??

Have you put a couple of products in , to see if they disappear, too?

No not yet. I'm just trying to get the shell of the website built before I start listing products. I mean my categores disappear, my languages, my taxes...everything. Should I contact Hostgator and see if it's something from their side? Don't mean to vent just getting very frustrated.

...actually scratch that yes we did set up two products for testing. And both are gone!

Ok so after having it happen again this afternoon I called Hostgator who suggested the problem was with the permissions as they were set to 444. They had me back-up the files and uninstall ZenCart and reinstall it under it's own directory (Public_html/zen/...) so we could set the permissions to what they needed to be. We've now done this but now I can't see my webpage at all becasue we have nothign under the direct Public_html folder. They now state they don't know how to proceed from here so what do we do now?? Is there a redirect or something?

Never mind he found someone who knew what to do. Looks like I'm OK, other then having to have permissions set to 755 until after I'm done with all my configurartions.
