Default My error_log file is gigantic

Mines about 300 mB, is it supposed to be this large and can it be maintained at a much lower level by cleaning it out some way?

The contents can be deleted, but to manage its size... fix the errors.

Trying to load a 300MB file in anything will take some time. Either give 3 minutes or so to load or delete it then recreate it with the same permissions as the current one. Then check it the next day and it should load pretty quick.

Also, you can use your FTP program to download onto your computer. Then open it with any Text Editor.
