help question Should there be a Thumbs.db File ?

    Hi all,

Just wondering I have come accross a Thumbs.db file 5120kb in size in admin>images and I notice that its not in the original file set, is this meant to be there and what purpose does it serve, does anyone have an idea?

    Thanks

When you have a copy of the site on your PC and it's a Windows system it creates a thumbs.db file for every folder with images in. When you upload via FTP it gets uploaded as well.

You can delete the thumbs.db files from your server.

    Hi,

Thanks to both of you for your help, at least I know that these are not a problem and will just delete of the server when they appear.

    Thanks again
