    Import from eBay

    Hi
I'm (very) slowly getting my head around the amazing product Zen Cart.
I'm gradually adding all of my items from my ebay shop to my zen cart shop.
Is there a quick way to import these items or shall I simply carry on adding them all by hand.
    Thanks in advance, Tina

What you could do is copy and paste the html from eBay (from your browser> view\page source, into your product in ZenCart.
(picture locations would need to be changed, depending on where they are hosted. If you use the same pictures from eBay, you need to copy and paste them in your directory of zencart, in your html you will need to change the picture location too).

If you are using turbo lister, this can be done from there. If you are not using turbo lister, I suggest you do get a copy, and import your current listings. (using import\save inventory).
You will still need to create attributes, as eBay does not let you list products with this. But hey this will reduce the amount of copying and pasting.

    Good luck,

    Goshawk

ps: I just looked at your shop, and it looks great, sounds like you are making progress with your listings. You do however have 51 warnings on your page (no errors), you may want to tidy up your html a bit here and there.

We are currently doing much the same, as we will be leaving eBay most likely after x-mass

Thanks a lot for your reply & your advice. Yes, I'm gradually getting there & I'll be cleaning up the code once I've finished listing and made a different template.
I wish us both (and all the other new ecommerce sites) lots of luck.
    Warmest regards, Tina

Thank you for your best wishes, so far so good.
Been running a life shop now for 10 days, and have received some orders and have some customers signed up for my newsletter. So far have had a great response to ZenCart.
Wishing you all the best too, happy selling.

Can you please expand on the "ebay import" thing please step by step - My client is NOT a turbo lister (unfortunately) - there are a few screens to look at the product on ebay - I'm assuming that I go to "description" screen. Then view source - what code do I pull? and do I place that into "product" description in Zen Cart? What is the difference of doing this as opposed to just copying and pasting description name right from the listing, instead of html? can you help? ( do understand the whole picture thing) I will be uploading photos into ZEN

    Thank you kindly!
