    help question Australia Post Eparcel

Due to customer demand we are implementing Australia Post's EParcel in the next few weeks. Does anyone else use it? Do they manage to import the customers postage details and email them tracking numbers, if so how did they do it? Do they just use teh Aust Post Shipping module to calculate costs, or something different?

Please share any or all of what you do! If no-one has done it does anyone else want this? Can we get a project going? I have no skill at all to do this but some money if needed!
    Cheers

    G'day,

We just use the AusPOST shipping module.

It's something we might also be interesting helping to create, or share in the costs of developing.

I'm assuming it could be an adaption of an existing shipping module that does something similar.

    Cheers, Lloyd Borrett.

I just got eParcel too. Has there been any progress made on this mod?

I'd certainly be very interested in this module.

How do people cater for e-parcel postage in ZC now?

I just type in each address which takes quite some time but we installed the mod for exporting shipping addresses on the weekend.

If you email Australia Post (the eParcel dept) and ask them for a copy of the example spreadsheet that has the fields needed to import addresses into eParcel they will send it to you. There will be quite a bit of manipulating of the data to get it to work but it isn't anything that can't be done in an hour or so with formulas.

With that being said though, it would be great if there is something out there or someone might want to work on it. I'd be willing to donate money. It just needs to be like the export mod that is there only certain columns so you don't have to manipulate as much data every time you want to update the contacts list.

I have another customer who is strongly interested in this and I'm looking into it. I need information from the Australian Post folks. Their cooperation is crucial here. Stay tuned!

I have been using e-parcel for years and I just use the auspost module as it is close enough to what eparcel charges in fact it's over so I make a little on shipping (not much though)

WRT the addresses I have a really simple php script that my DH wrote, all it does is export the raw data to a web page and I just copy and paste that into notepad and import into eparcel. I have been meaning to have it create a file automatically for a long time but it does until get around to finding someone who knows php... one day!

You just have to export 1 customer to excel and that will give you the right format
