Workaround for QuickBooks with two state tax amounts?

QuickBooks will have the ability to
handle multiple state tax rates in the
future, but my client needs to be
able to export from ZC to QB where
it supports two state tax rates right
now.

Is there anyone who has or knows of
a workaround that will accomplish this?
Maybe it's not with QBI, perhaps an
Excel export module?

I heard from the author and the word is that QBI will
someday handle multiple state tax scenarios, but he's
not sure when that will happen.

Also, he's not aware of a workaround using Excel.
