Orders do not appear in Admin area

We are still having problems with Zen Cart not showing a customers order in the Admin after it is placed.

We have to phone the customer to get the order.

Not too efficient a system..

The CC transaction is being handled offsite.

we are using 1.3.8a.

Help would be appreciated as this is most puzzling and inconvenient.

Are you using PayPal? Are you allowing customers to pay with no PayPal account? If so, the customers must return to your site via the link in PayPal for the order to process..

It's a crazy situation and there are a few threads on it here and on other sites..

Thanks for the reply..no we are not using PayPal.
We're using a hosted checkout for the CC orders.
When we place a test order for a money order it works great.
We have had many problems with E-xact CC processing outfit, and I wonder if this is another glitch on their part.
I wonder if the CC order info is supposed to be sent back to Zen Cart, and then it will appear in the Admin area.

Looking at this and your previous post, I'd say it's time to find another payment processor. It may be Zencart isn't compatible with this 'hosted checkout', and you have many other options.

is the customer able to return to the checkout success page after payments have been made? I know that the customer has to land back there to have the order "process" and show up in admin.

For a temporary fix, you can install the login as customer mod which will allow you to see the same info in admin, but also the items they have in there shopping cart (the items not processed) which will help you place the order..

Returning to the site after payment is essential though for order to appear in admin..
