orders in pairs.... why

we have been noticeing that some items we have for sale we have sold non for months, then all of a sudden we sell 2 on the same day or one, 1 day, then another the day later, then not sell any for another month or so.

why would this be the reason?? happens with alot of my items.

Could be a newspaper or magazine article or home repair TV show mentions a particular item that people then find on your site.

yeah that what i thought but that would happen once or twice, but this seem to happen all the time as if google is listing use one day, then next day not or something
