Importing address book entries for multiple customers?

Hello everyone!

I have a customer who uses zen cart for selling promo items for a large grocery store chain. My customer has 190 grocery store addresses she would like imported into each registered customers address book. I have searched and searched for a mod and cannot find any for this.

If this is not possible, is there a way to enter all 190 into one account and then copy entries into other accounts through phmyadmin?

I am using:

Zen Cart 1.3.8a
MySQL 5.1.30
PHP Version: 5.2.9

for the sake of brevity I must confess that each customer having 190 store addresses in there account might not be the best idea. Perhaps simply creating a custom or modified shipping module where they can select the store they wish to ship to / pickup from during checkout would be more ideal.

if you still require all store addresses to added to a customers account you can do so by creating a php script to run through all customer account ids and add them to the address_book table. This method is going to cause you headaches because I think its going strain the current address listing methods used by zen cart when they go to choose an address. The more I think about it the less I want to show you how to do it as it just isnt a user friendly, or appropriate way to accomplish what I imagine the client is actually looking for.

Thanks for your reply. I knew it was not a great idea to import all addresses in to each address book. They are insisting it be easier for the customer who is ordering. I like your idea of a shipping module to select which store to send to. That would be best. Is there one currently avail for that do you know?

There are 190 stores. If they could select from a drop down the store number to ship to, that would be perfect!

I don't believe there is but you can check out the free software add on section. You could also post in the commercial help wanted section to seek a custom programming job.
