    help question Validating errors in firefox

    Hi all,

    I am getting these messages several times when loading my site admin and site home page on firefox validator i have taken rest of the path out as my site is not live,

    Error: hidetrail is not defined
    Source File: /index.php?main_page=
    Line: 1

    Error: showtrail is not defined
    Source File: /index.php?main_page=
    Line: 1

    Warning: Protocol handler for 'symres' doesn't advertise a security policy. While loading of such protocols is allowed for now, this is deprecated. Please see the documentation in nsIProtocolHandler.idl.

    What is this and how can it be sorted out please anyone that can help I would be grateful please?

    Hi,

    Can anyone explain why this shows up in the error console in firefox
    I have taken off the info in front of the index... as my site is not live.

    Error: hidetrail is not defined
    Source File: /index.php?main_page=

    The line that it states is this one, why what is not correct in this file, does anyone have any idears they can throw at this please????

    No one can help with this as we cannot view/see the original source.

    All I can say is that it looks like the problem is from something added. The default Classic Template will not produce such errors.

    Would be better if the site was publicly available. The more eyes looking at a problem the better chance of fixing it.

    Hi,

    Thanks to website rob for all your help, it turned out to be a problem with some javascript for image handler.

    All sorted and happy.

    Thought I had better reply to this, late but I have been away, mre refreshed, I hope it last for a bit!

    Hi,

    Sure can, the style_imagehover file was missing in my custom template css directory.

    I had uploaded the files without altering the custom template folder to my own, hope this helps.
