UPS Shipping Question

I am new to zen cart and have a questions about the ups module. After my customer chooses the shipping method and goes through the completed checking out system will a ups shipping label automatically be generated and will ups be notified to come pick up this package or will I have to do this manually. Also does the FedEx API perform differently than the UPS that is already installed. Thanks for the information.

I would like to know about this as well. I've only ever used FedEX with ZenCart but I have a client that is already using UPS with CubeCart and she has some kind of API set up so she does not have to input data into UPS's website in order to print postage labels. Ideally we'd like to keep that functionality when switching to ZenCart.
