Confusion over base price + additional qty

Hi All,

I am trying to price a single product using the attribute of its weight.

I have a sale price of 25 / kg.

In the attribute manager I have created 4 options: 250g; 500g; 750g and 1kg.

I have set the "base" price as 6.25 for 250g and used the drop-down method which shows a nice 6.25 for 250g and then each of the remaining 3 options have a + (plus) sign next to them incrementing in 6.25 steps. This display is exactly as I would like it BUT when I add any of the 3 "+" options to the cart, the price displayed only shows the ADDITIONAL amount rather than adding their "plus bit" to the base price ... So for example picking the 750g option results in the cart showing 12.5 rather than 6.25+12.5 ...

Could someone please highlight the schoolboy error I've made

Set the Product Price to: 6.25 ...

Set the Priced by Attributes to NO ...

Set the individual Attributes to have their additional prices as needed ...
