Shipping issue, please help.

Hi,

I have the most current Zen and my site is RuyanMan.com

I'm a newbie to zen but I installed it and everything but a shipping issue is running ok.

I have liquid and solid products that can't be shipped together.

When a customer orders the liquid its $17.50 for the first 500 grams and $5.50 for every other 500 grams of product.

When a customer orders solid goods its $15.50 for the first 500 grams and $4.50 for every other 500 grams of product.

Many of my products are in the .01 -.02 lbs etc range but someone can order 10 of that product and it will be .1 - .2 lbs. If they order 100 it will be 1 -2 lbs.

How can I set up the shipping to work for me with what I discussed here?

I tried 6 ways from Sunday and I cannot make it happen. It's as though the table rate doesn't register in the 1 lb range, nothing works right. I tried a flat rate of 17.50 which is ok for a liquid product as the base 500 grams, but, what if they order a solid, then I will need both to register at checkout, 17.50+15.50. I tried 01:5.50,100:5.50 for instance in the table rate as well to calculate the 5.50. I need $5.50 for every 500 grams sold thereafter on liquid, and 4.50 on solids.

Please help, it's the last thing I need to do to be online.

Well after 2 days of playing with the shipping I figured a way out.

I just set the tare to;
0:0
and the table rate to;
1:0.00,2:5.50,3:11.00,4:16.50,5:22.00,6:27.50,7:33.00,8:38.50,9:44.00,10:49.50,1 1:55.00,12:60.50,13:66.00,14:71.50,15:77.00,16:82.50,17:88.00,18:93.50,19:99.00, 20:104.5

So I;m getting 5.50 per 454 grams, close to the 500. Good enough for me.

I decided to set the flat rate to 25.

Well after 2 days of playing with the shipping I figured a way out.

I just set the tare to;
0:0
and the table rate to;

The flat rate was removed, I needed to incorporate the flat rate into the shipping, not have it as a seperate shipping option.

So now I get 20 for the first pound and 5.50 thereafter for every other pound.
