share the same database with 2 zen cart shops

Here's the scenario. I have a Product A that i can sell both by online shop and phisical store. Is it possible to install two zen cart sessions in the same server and different folder to share the same database?

Yes, that can be done, but to what end? There are a couple of free mods available that you could combine to enter orders from your physical store into Zen Cart, if that's what you're after.

that's because i have to write invoices with unique progressive numbers between in-store and web-store.
today customer 1 buy something on the web and so zencart send invoice n.1 , in the same day my first customer buy something in my phisical store and this isn't invoice n.1 but n.2 because n.1 was already created on the web for virtual shop!

I would like to have progressive unique numbers for the invoices created both in installation 1 (web store) and installation 2 (phisical store). At this moment i have onlu www.xxx.com and i have to create www.xxx.com/myshop.
