Shopping Cart reminder?

I have noticed that some of my customers have items in their shopping cart, possibly because they were called away while working on the transaction, or abandoned for some other reason.

Is there an add-on module already built that will scan the "cutomers_basket" table and email them a reminder that they have items in their shopping cart?

Sure would be great if I didn't have to write this from scratch :-)

I would consider that aggressive behavior by the vendor. Like the door-to-door salesman that sticks his foot in the door so you can't close it.

If the customer wants to buy it, then he will.

True, this could be considered aggressive behavior, but you have to be in order to compete in today's market. And may I also point out that you never answered his question.

A well-known marketing survey company actually suggested this as a tactic when selling online, so regardless of whether this is aggressive or not, it would be very nice if there was a mod for this.

Just to add my $.02 - if I received an email from an ecommerce site after deciding not to buy that day, I wouldn't go back.
