Help! Site went blank and can't fix it

Hi,

I just installed the Rewards Pointe Suite today...all seemed to install well...but now when I try to get onto my site, all i see is a blank page. I thought it may have been the mod so I sent a thread, but had not received a reply so I decided to uninstall the mod. I deleted all the files and ran the unistall sql and still no change.

I also tried ftping my Admin & Includes folders (backups) back to my file manager and still no change.

I am able to access my admin, control panel and database. Not sure where else to look and how I can fix this.

Any ideas?

try using Debug utility , to see what file (s) causing this problem .

When I go to your site, I get this:

Do you have a backup copy of index.php ??

I actually do thank goodness! should I reupload it?

I've also am in the process in uploading the debug utility file so I'm going to see how that works...

well I reuploaded the index.php file and got a Http 500 internal server error.

I also ran the debug utility and got the following error:

should I delete this and see what happens?

You've done something wrong in that blank sidebox defines file. Are there any apostrophes or quotation marks in the text you added? If so, they need to be escaped like this: betty\'s place. It's also possible you accidentally added some spaces after the closing PHP tag.

I actually never touched the file...had no reason to. I recently upgraded to 1.3.8, but everything has been working fine until yesterday when I tried intalling the reward points mod.

Here is the file:

do you think it would make a negative impact if I just delete the file?

well I went ahead and deleted the file and still no change...

this is my error message now:

Ok just opened the file to compare the file on my file manager and the file I had previously downloaded as a backup to my pc and I get this:

inc/lang/eng/maria/index.php

compare to:

both on line 55???

yeah...it was that file. I just deleted from my custom folder and that did the trick
