help question How to optimize my site to stop the downtime error: Disk /dev/sda6 (/tmp) 100 %

I have a 1.3.7 Zencart that gets 4000+ hits per day. The 2 servers I have put it on eventually start going down (downtime) with cpanel server status error: Disk /dev/sda6 (/tmp) 100 %

I was wondering if there is any tricks to optimize my site to store or record less statistics or run more efficiently to stop Disk /dev/sda6 (/tmp) getting maxed out.

You mentioned the /tmp/ volume, so it's probably not part of your Zen Cart files itself.

Nevertheless, I'll ask: How many files are in your store's /cache/ folder? What are the patterns of the filenames there?
Ideally there should only be a couple files there. But if there are a bunch of log files there, you'll want to turn off the logging and delete the excess files.

I have to say I share this server with some other sites (but this is the busiest), and I think my server just does not like the total usage (which this site is the main offender). I am planning to put this site into its own hosting to remedy this problem.

I suggest you talk to your hosting company about the matter, to have them determine what's creating and using the files in the /tmp volume. That's a server system thing, not a Zen Cart thing.
