it says place templete folder in zencart directory. but i cant find the template folder in the download please help. i know it goes in to the includes templates but i just dont know what. thanks for your help.

Does this mean you can't find the location to put your "ezred" template folder in the Zen Cart folder system?
That would go in /includes/templates/, and there will not be an ezred folder until you add it.
If you mean something else, please explain in more detail. A link to your site would also help.

errr i mean in the actuall download that i got. it has no file called template. i know where two put the files and folders i just dont know which ones i use

Upload the EzRed folder that came with the download to the includes/templates/ folder on your website. After that, go to admin>tools>templates selection and select the template from the pull-down menu.
