Website referral : 1st Discount Coupon [ hack?]

I have two new users who singed up for our zen cart but they did not order anything or fill out very much but both say

Website referral : 1st Discount Coupon

I search for 1st Discount Coupon on google and only find results for threads here.

Thought maybe it was a coupon company or something.

Anyone got a clue to what it means?

Is this some type of hack?

Where are the setting for that buried?
I have gone through everything in the coupon section and see nothing about referral coupons or their settings. And I find that thread just as confusing as those who were asking that never got it 100%

Only because for myself I have never seen any referral coupon settings.

I have no such coupons set up that I know of.
