How do I change the basic colors?

I would like to change the default orange color into a light purple.
Does anyone know how to just change that basic information?

all colors can be changed via your stylesheet . the best way to identify where to change things , i recommend , first , install Firefox if you don't have it already

look for FIREBUG extension for firfox . easy tool to use . using this tool , you can easily locate segments of your stylesheet that you need to change including line number ,etc.. you can use firbug to make changes to catched copy of your site . once happy , open corresponding CSS file , and make the needed changes.

There's lots of information in the Tutorials/FAQ (link at top of page). Don't change anything in the files you received from Zen Cart. Always follow the template/override system.

There are free templates available for Zen Cart at http://(sorry, site offline)/ which will help get you started.

Php is kind of confusing.

Please get the latest version of Zen Cart (1.3.8a).

To change much of Zen Cart, you don't really have to mess with the php. Color changes take place in the stylesheet.

Make certain you're following the override/template system or all your changes will be lost with the next update/upgrade.
