PLEASE HELP!! Tax issue

Hi all,
Can someone PLEASE help me. Im sure it is something small im missing but cannot figure out what I have done.

In Store/Config i have the store zone set to Western Australia. This is where the store is located. For some reason customers with Western Australia addresses are being charged 10% tax in checkout. All other states are fine. If i change the store location in admin/config to Victoria, then it is charging all Victorian customers 10% tax and all other states are fine.
It is only charging the store zone customers 10% tax.

Why is it doing this? And how can I fix it? I don't want it adding on any tax.

I just built another Zen Cart, tested it this morning and it is fine, not charging tax at checkout at all.

It has to be something myself or my client have touched but I just cannot figure it out. I have been on it for 2 days now...
Any suggestions would be awesome

Have you tried going to Locations/Taxes --> Tax Rates and editing whatever's there?

Michelle, i just solved this problem for myself too.

Go to Locations/Zone Definitions.

Does your country = Australia and zone = a particular state? If so, click on "details" and change the zone to = "all zones".

That fixed it for me.
