Store Open Module

I have created a Store Open module which allows the store owner to prevent checkout while the store is closed, displaying a message to the customer.

Sounds interesting, but I wonder under what circumstances you'd want to 'close' an Internet store?

Well the store I set up is for an online pizza delivery who operate 5pm til 1am. If someone ordered a pizza at 1:30am they would be waiting a long time for it to be delivered

This mod can be accessed via a cron job to 'automatically' open and close the store to a set schedule.

Yes, very interesting indeed.

I think this would be handy for 1-person Companies (like mine) to prevent orders from coming in when for example, in a health emergency that would take several days, in the case of taking a couple of days vacation, for business meetings or anything that would take you away from the keyboard for some time in excess of one day.

This can be used instead of the "maintenance" option.
