Default Re: HELP! Best way to restore attribute accidentally deleted

I have accidentally deleted an attribute that is used by hundreds of items in my shop. What would I need to restore just the attributes to the last site back up, or would it be better to wind back the whole site? My version is
    Zen Cart 1.3.7.1

    Database Patch Level: 1.3.7

    Simple instructions will be appreciated.

    Thank in advance

Like similar signs in retail shops say...

    "When its gone, its gone".

Once data has been excised from the database, the only way to get it back is to:-

Add it in the conventional manner
Restore the database, or the relevant table(s), from a backup.

In your case (if you have a recent backup, you could probably restore the attributes tables and associations only - I have done this (restoring specific tables only) and it works just fine*

(* if you know what you are doing, of course!)

Thank you for your reply, could you please advise me which files I need to replace to restore the attributes tables and associations only - this will sort out my problem. I have the necessary back up files but did not want to loose the trading data if it can be avoided.

    All sorted out
We make regular full site backups

We had to restore our big SQL file to a new database using phpmyadmin. Actually in our case the damn thing was too big, so I had to get our ISP admin to restore it!

Then I exported both the product_attribute table and the Order_product_attribute tables from the last good version of our SQL. Then I deleted the two in the main SQL and reuploaded the two exported version.

All working fine and products are reunited with their attributes

Moral of the story is to back up regularly and make sure you have good tech support as the SQL files seem to be a bit temperamental
