Sort order question

[First State Awards]

I have searched for a while on here and either I don't have the right search terms, or I may just be a moron at the moment.. What I would like to do is give my customer the choice of sort order..

case in point..

instead of Filter Results by: items starting with.. I would like them to be able to select from price high-low, price low-high, or the standard alphabetical.. is this possible.. I saw no add on that would do it.. I have some addons installed but none that should interfere with normal operation.

suggestions??

Would be willing to donate to someone for coding time if it's a difficult thing to do.. this is my first database driven site so I am a newbie.
