but that is a quick example from ftp & ep on what the directories are
You did not specify if the examples work or not??

The actual path(Core FTP) is of no direct consequence....

The link produced by EP is if this is one that works then when you enter another it should match this convention...

The dot is for a relative location I suspect??
    Code:
    <p>Click <a href="./Hypercosm_Product_Files_18_04/
Bottom line: Does the posted EP entry work?

If not, post from the csv one that does and one that does not

the example does not work, and we have been unable to get it to work, even doing it all manually, we have set up a call for 10am UK GMT today where we hope to get some answers.

i understand this from reading through some ep guides that the default path is set in the easypopulate.php file but when i had a thorough search through this i could find no link between the v_products_description_1 and any default path, where js web in their default product creation demo they gave us was where they input the html link to the preview download. am i right by guessing that in theory i could concatenate the file paths for seperate instances as one variable in php?

yes i believe the . is of a relative location i believe.

is there any way of extracting files from specific directories to another directory on mass as a batch process in a way?

    for example

    /3dguides.co.uk/download/Hypercosm_Product_Files_08_04/08_04_00_01_01_01/applet/_08_04_00_01_01_01.hcvm
    to

    /3dguides.co.uk/download/Hypercosm_Product_Files_08_04/08_04_00_01_01_01.hcvm
or would deleting then re-uploading be easier?

we had these sub directories in place for web deployment purposes in the other sub folders are html & script files so that in theory it could be all done over the browser but we do not intend to input this feature straight away, as there are constantly upgrading browser upgrades meaning that the script would have to be changed accordingly.

sorry, i am new to zencart, so please bare with me, but thanks for all of the help so far

Adding one totally via the admin interface still does not result is a working download?
If this is the case, then you first need to get one that works by entering all details via the admin

we managed to get working downloads for the preview files then came into a e-commerce problem with the buying product side of things with an ip problem from sagepay, that with another issue has lead us to want to relocate, i feel it would be easy now to get the easypopulate side of things going, just looking for another host.
