I acquired a Zen Cart website and need to make changes to the purchase confirmation email (whichever one goes out as a thank you/receipt), then test it. I think I'm close, but wanted to ask about best practices.
With every purchase next week, I want to include a link in the email to a downloadable PDF. I found a template file at email/email_template_order_status.html . Is this the correct one? I noticed there's a lot of variables that get replaced. Is there a place I can go in the admin to change the message, or do I need to make this addition in the template itself?
To test, I was thinking about creating a product that cost $0.00 and purchase it to test things out. Is there a more recommended way of doing this?
