Newbie-How to add choice of shipping method?

I am totally newbie to customizing zen cart, and wondered if anyone can help us. First off we are in Canada and I find that it is all USA options ie ) USPS. We currently have free shipping on orders over $99 and that works.We use flat rate shipping for everyone else, however it is based on Express post which can be pricey. It is trackable and has insurance.

I am trying to find a way to add Regular letter mail as an option, and would like it to say Letter mail or standard mail or something like that. Also want to have it say No insurance. Can anyone explain how I can do this??? Walk me through this? I would appreciate it. If someone else has had similar question can you post the link pls.?

Great thanks, however I get confused when it comes to over writing the files etc..... as there is too many admins . includes etc it gets confusing...... is there a how to some where explaining which files I can and can not touch?? Last time I messed things up by overwriting the wrong ones.

That particular mod is adding all new files, it looks like, so just drag and drop the admin, images and includes folders from the mod to the root of your site, and the files will be where they need to be.

Run the SQL patch (I copy and paste to the box in Admin - Tools - Install SQL Patches) and the option should be in Admin - Modules - Shipping

Ok so to confirm what is the root of the site? on my server there are several folders... is it the ROOT of FTP or into one of the folders in the server? the ftp looks like this

What is the root of the site????

The root of your site, assuming you haven't installed Zencart in a subdirectory, is public_html. 'Root' refers to the top directory of your Zencart installation.

This is one reason we ask For a link to your site when asking questions.

Well I did exactly what it said above, upload the files into publichtml not the site is down and I can not even log into admiN!

The text you're seeing is part of the code from shopping_cart.php. I have no idea how it got onto your index page.

Tell us exactly how you uploaded the mod files to public_html.

I went into my root then public_html like i was told

uploaded the 3 dirs iwas told and hit overwrite.

that was it...not i can not access site or admin..... trying to get service provided to relload backup for me. I am so dumb... the wife says no more zencart stuff.....eheh I will get someone else to do it.
