Integrating a Search Bar

Hey guys!

I'm new to zen cart and this forum. So far, it's been a terrific resource for helping me get my fledgling website off the ground.

I recently added a splash page for my site, and I'd like to know how to integrate a search bar onto it for my customers to search my categories and products with.

For what it's worth, I think splash pages are generally a mistake.
