Can you completely disable Order Update Emails?

Reason being...

We are using Webgility's Quickbooks connector. We send an email outside of the system through Quickbooks when an order is updated, so the Zen Cart Order Update email is duplicative. An order is updated through the connector that talks to Zen Cart. We do not use the internal Zen Cart page to update orders (where you can simply uncheck the box that says update customer when you are updating the status).

Simply deleting the update status email template doesn't do the trick, as that is only part of the body of the order update email that is sent out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
