Hello all,
I signed up for a new website yesterday that uses a zen cart. Unfortunately I live Oz and the administrators of the site are presently asleep in the US.
In the admin panel some of the features will save correctly, however when I try to update the basic site configuration such as:-
> Store Name
> Store Owner
> Address etc
> Tools :edit templates (Main Page)
> Shipping
When I click on update none of the changes save and the information is exactly as it was before ie. default info.
Anyone know whats going on here?
I have been able to update the template header but not change the template colour.
I have also been able to set up the payment method, metatags, featured products.
Some advice would be great so I can set this site up.

Are you on Dreamhost?
I just read on other forum someone with same problem is on Dreamhost, and I have the problem new today as well and I also am on Dreamhost. Just wondering if this is relevant.

This resolved thanx to Dr Byte.
I was applying the two zip patch files from the bug fixes list for admin/includes/functions/html_output.php and includes/functions/html_output.php, the former of which was overriding a more recent patch file from v138_2009_0619 that I had installed in June.

Much like soxophoneplayer, you've probably got an incorrectly-installed patch on your admin area.

Similar Issue after moving hosting to a new company and transferring everything over.
Old Host had 1.3.8.a
New Host had 1.3.8 and so I applied the patch before I started moving everything in order to make the versions the same.
What do I need to do in order to make sure I have only one security patch (the correct one) so that my admin with update correctly?
I have backups of everything to use if needed.

Um, I don't understand. There is only *one* patch.
If you're referring discussions about the fact that the *one* patch received an update to its contents ... well ... only the up-to-date one is available for download. Just use it.
If in doubt, grab a fresh copy of the patch and apply it!
