How Can I ban a IP address?

Hi All,

I have a person that is spamming my contact page and it is getting very annoying. I have is ip address and wanted to know if there is a add on that will stop certain ip addresses from posting.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to do that through your webmaster panel for your website not through Zen Cart.

The facility in your host admin panel - as Afo says - writes a "deny" statement to your .htaccess file, so if you don't have "IP Deny" feature in your host admin dashboard, you can add the statements manually to .htaccess. Do a google search for the format used.

Additionally, try the CAPTCHA module(s) in the free downloads.

Be aware though these people may just use a proxy server to bypass any ban.

The CAPTCHA modules are a pain in the backside. I always find it hard to read most of them and they put me off sites and there is nothing wrong with my display or settings.

They may work though in putting off this individual.
