install zen cart on wamp server

I ran into a problem at the database setup when I tried to install Zen Cart. After I entered all the database username and password, I clicked on Save Database Settings, then I encountered an error on the browser and an error message appear saying my Apache HTTP Server has stopped working and being closed. I have the latest version of Wamp Server which has the latest version of PHP and MySQL. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Thanks!

it looks like the apache http server crashed while zen cart set up trying to connect to the database. I can't figure out what's wrong or i am missing some setting for the database

I am facing somewhat a same problem. I encountered the "Connection Interrupted" everytime I tried to save the database settings just like you.

Have installed WAMP on XP. Get the Apache error when installing ZenCart after clicking Save Database Settings or something.

I uninstalled, deleted everthing below www directory and installed the lastest version of WAMP5 and it worked.

So that'll have to do for now then!!

Yes, I installed WAMP5 and it worked. Looks like there may be some issues with WampServer2.

What version of Wamp did you installed to get it to work? I have the latest version Wamp Server 2.0.

I installed WampServer 2.0h (one version behind) and it worked fine.

The WAMP5 version is 1.7.3
