Shouldn't LOGIN FOR PRICE be a button???

My customers have to login to see prices. The Configuration setting for Customer Details, Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices is set to option 2: "May browse but no prices unless logged in."

I swear the little box that says "Login for Price" used to be a link to the login page, but now it isn't. No hand cursor, no button, no link in the html, just plain old text with an outline around it.

I recently used easy populate to upload a lot of new products, but I can't see how that would have affected the login for price button.

Any thoughts?? All help and advice GREATLY appreciated...

I figured it out myself!

A friend searched with the developers tool kit for "login for price" and found that the file includes/languages/english.php was where the text for this was defined:
Line #514 : define('TEXT_LOGIN_FOR_PRICE_BUTTON_REPLACE','Login for price');

So I changed that to include the login page link:

define('TEXT_LOGIN_FOR_PRICE_BUTTON_REPLACE','<a href="http://www.vinquiry.com/store/index.php?main_page=login">Login for price</a>');

If anyone sees any problem with this, please let me know. It seems to work just fine!

That is already a link, what you are looking at is the Text that the link surrounds ... why are you trying to change it?

It used to be a link, I agree. But lately it somehow became plain old unlinked text with no link. I noticed it, and then my client noticed it and complained, so I had to do something. My band-aid type of fix seemed to work, but perhaps is not the best approach to the problem. Do you have a better idea for me?

I'd look to see what broke to change the original code ...

See if you switch to Classic Template if it is fixed ... if so, your template is doing something ...
