Is there a b'day mailing list for customers kids

I am working on a site for childrens clothing where the store owner would like for her customers to be able to enter their child(ren)s b'days so she can then send out a gift certificate, voucher or just a happy b'day wish on the date.

I am thinking this info would need to be entered during sign up. I had a look ad the downloads but didn't find anything going by the download title that would match what I am looking for.

Does anyone know of anything like it or would anyone be able to make one. I haven't asked the store owner yet but she may be willing to pay for a mod.

Ok, what I'd like to do is add a section at the bottom of the register page that has this:

-Optional Birthday Notifications Mailing List-

Include your child's birthday and we will send him or her a Happy Birthday wish and gift certificate.

Child's details

Gender ()Boy ()Girl [Radio buttons]

Birthday Day () Month() Year() [drop dwon boxes]


Add another child [a link to add the above options again]

I copied the source from the register page and did it in front page which is easy enough.

Of course thats not gonna make it work on the actual register page unless I know where to add the code to.

I'll be looking into it but if anyone has any suggestiosn, feel free to let me know.

I too need this, we sell children's party supplies, being able to send a reminder email to start planning is essential. It must be able to handle the larger family of 6, 7, 8, kids! Mmm who already have a party everyday with that number! Any help appreciated.

How do you know it it is not a general demand, I am sure there are loads of zencart people who would be selling children's items and so birthday information is extremely important.

I have already looked at the 2 mods currently available. However, they don't seem to be exactly what I need.

If I knew code better than I do I would attempt to mod the mods.

Can this thread be moved to the commercial help thread? I thought of that after I had already posted and I didn't want to double post.

I'm looking for something that will put all of the customer birthdays in one place. It's too much work to go through every customer's info and transfer the birthdays to a calendar.

Anything like this?
