Admin issues.

Newbie Zenner, using 1.38

Im just recovering from a hack with the courtesy of Godaddy backup. Everything is back to normal. I applied the patch and everything seems fine until I went into the admin section to change the username and password.

The Problem:

Can't change usename or the password. The password won't reset and I can't add any other user or admin.

Could Goddaddy had done something to the database to cause this?

You most likely didn't properly apply the patch. Many people think they don't need to put all the files onto the server, or put them in the wrong place contrary to the documentation, or fail to properly edit/update the html_output.php file that is part of the patch, resulting in the inability to save any changes/edits while inside the admin area.

I edited it correctly, I just had to upload the files again. For some odd reason, its working now.
