Only allow USA Customers to Checkout

I have searched for this, and found one area that said I will have to delete all the countries. There are 12 pages of countries. If I only want United States Customers, do I really have to delete all the countries?

Yes.

But if you are comfy with it, there are some similar posts that show how to do it by typing in some SQL and removing them all at once. (except the one(s) you want to keep)

You don't have to delete all of the countries, you just need to use zones for shipping. Put US in zone 1 and 00 in countries to block, then only people in the US will be allowed to checkout.
