Default Hidden Pages and Links within a Page

    Hi everyone

I'm just about done with configuring my site, but there's two things I want to do before I go live.

Basically, we sell edible pictures, and have a range of borders available that customers can select from to put around their picture. I've sussed out the upload attribute, and have decided the best thing to do with the borders is to set up a product category of borders and show them all there. The customer would them be able to select the one they want to use and it would then add to the cart and become part of their order.

What I want to try and do is when the customer is viewing the individual icing sheet descriptions is to put a 'reminder' line there, along the lines of, "don't forget to select your FREE Border" with a link to the borders. I'm not 100% sure how to turn the word Border into a hyperlink, or more to the point what the link would be.

I know i'd select the word Border, click the hyperlink button in the editor, but the enter what link ??

The second thing I want to do is very similar.

I have a fair bit of blurb which is applicable to every sheet we sell. For example, text about us using paypal, how to upload you picture, where to enter the text the customer want to use.

Rather than put this text on every page, I was thinking of creating a page which is only available by clicking a link from the product page, it also won't appear on any menus or sideboxes etc. for example text would say "Click here before you order" which then opens a page, maybe even a popup, which has all the generic stuff on it.

Anyone have any suggestions or idea for either of these please ?

I would put a link to the site, but it's password protected until its finished, but the site we're switching from is http://www.someink-different.co.ukif you want an idea of what we do.

Thanks for readin and for any help anyone could provide. I have seen the 'hidden' page thing on here somewhere before, but I just cant find it anywhere

    Thanks again
    Bryan

The second you could do with EZ pages easily enough:

If I understand the first question, I think I would add the frames as another attribute.

The problem, in my experience, with both your ideas is that people don't always click when you tell them to, so you would have to figure out a way to make both pages mandatory. You could, I guess, edit and rename the Conditions of Use page and make it mandatory reading in admin.

Without seeing your site, I think I would be inclined to use atributes for the frames and swguy's boilerplate mod to put the standard content right on each product info page.
