Default Host moved website, changed permissions

Not sure where to post this question, hopefully this is the right area.

My host migrated my website to a new server last night and I noticed they changed every file on my site to permission "705". So now I have to go through ever dang file and change them back to 755 & 444

Why would they have done that? And should I be calling them and make them change all the files back This is not how I wanted to spend my day today.

Why not change the permissions recursively?

For example, FileZilla (client) can do this.

Shouldn't have posted that so fast :)

Is this how it would be done?

To change all folders to 755

Highlight folder and select "apply to directories only" 755

then select the same folder again and use "apply to files only" for 444

    ?

Yeah basically just right-click on the directory, select file permissions, select recurse into subdirectories, and whether to apply to files or directories.
